Artist Statement:
My studio practice explores both representational and abstract art. Both positions exist in parallel or synthesize into a new form.
Abstraction to me is a path to the space of essential geometric elements. The intention is to create a new world of visual aesthetics with the help of the basic forms (point, line, stripe, field).
In the representational art my favourite motifs comprise portraits and female figures.
The series of drawings inspired by old masters represent a synthesis of abstract and realistic approach. I interpret classical works using my own technique and transpose their contents into contemporary expression.
