Artist Statement:
Hello! Let’s get to know each other better. I am a professional artist with a unique journey that has shaped my creative vision. The first half of my life was dedicated to accumulating experiences and emotions, which culminated in a transformative moment that redefined my path. With two higher degrees in biology-microbiology and accounting, I eventually embraced my true calling as an artist. My new life began with studying drawing and painting at an art school, attending masterclasses, and learning from professional artists.
I see myself as an experimenter, constantly seeking new and intriguing artistic techniques and expressions. Every day, I explore, test, and develop new forms and methods to communicate my ideas, though I always remain connected to realistic art.
I particularly enjoy creating small works en plein air, as they beautifully capture the essence of nature, the atmosphere, and the emotions of the moment. My greatest inspirations are the breathtaking landscapes of Ukraine, the energy of sacred places like Khortytsia Island, and the serene flow of the Dnieper River.
My artistic journey has allowed me to master various techniques, including watercolor, acrylic, and oil. For the past three years, I have been deeply immersed in watercolor painting, a medium that brings me a sense of freedom and boundless creativity. Watercolors, with their fluidity and natural connection to the environment, allow me to convey moods, harmony, and the delicate beauty of nature.
Each of my paintings tells a story, aiming to evoke the same joy and tranquility in viewers that I experience while creating them. To me, water-based paints symbolize the essence of our connection to nature and the harmony of beauty. Water, like life, has its own will—you just need to guide it gently.
Watercolors are ideal for portraying natural landscapes, subtle nuances, misty impressions, and surprising accents. Through my work, I strive to make life more colorful and extraordinary. My paintings are my message to the world, a reflection of my philosophy and inspiration. As Pablo Picasso once said: “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” I wholeheartedly embrace this belief.
In my homeland, Ukraine, we are enduring a full-scale war. Amid this hardship, I find solace and purpose in continuing to create, offering beauty and harmony to the world through my art.
Throughout my career, I have actively participated in group and thematic exhibitions in galleries and art spaces in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia. My works are part of the collection of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Art Museum and are held in private collections across Ukraine, EU countries, the USA, Canada, and Israel.
My watercolors have touched the hearts of admirers worldwide and found homes in museums and galleries. Perhaps they will bring beauty and inspiration to your space as well.
Feel free to reach out to me—I’d be delighted to help you select watercolors that will bring joy and harmony to your home.
