I won five world kickboxing championships and one of the most important things that I learned is that it takes as much courage to be an artist as it does to be a fighter.
When you step into a boxing ring there’s a feeling of fear and wonder in the unknown. I think the canvas is like a boxing ring or an arena. It’s where the fighting and art meet in the middle.
If you have the courage to reveal yourself there’s a sort of rebirth. I explore my expression through abstraction and follow it into the unknown...
