Artist Statement:
Karin was born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario, and has been drawing and painting all her life. A self-trained artist - she is guided by instinct and uses mediums in bold and unconventional ways. Her process is spontaneous and intuitive - she likes to work quickly, and completes her paintings in one or two sittings. Karin is inspired by the artistic talents of her two young sons, as well as traditional Asian Art, minimal abstract art, and popular culture. She is excited about the renewed popularity of watercolour in today's artworld.
